Tour the city by driving through the Dam square, the Queen’s palace, the skinny bridge, the mint tower, the weeping tower, the red light district, the flower market, the seven bridges. We will enter the Anne Frank House and your choice of the Rijks Museum or the Van Gogh Museum.

BEST OF AMSTERDAM
If you prefer not to visit a museum then the tour will consist of the following the same description as above including the scenic canal cruise. Instead of the museums we shall visit a Cheese and wooden-shoe maker, situated on a dike, out in the country-side, there you get to taste about 6 different kinds of Gouda cheese. Then visit the wooden-shoe maker where you will have a demonstration about how they make these clogs, which are still worn today by the farmers. Don’t forget to take your video camera with you!
Finally we’ll have facinating historic walking tour with your guide through the quaint neighbourhoods of Amsterdam and its legendary Red Light District, where numerous business in the sex industry flourish. A visit to the Diamond Factory can be added if you wish.

We will take a scenic drive out to the country-side north of Amsterdam. While crossing polders, driving along canals and dikes, our first stop will be at an authentic cheese farm that makes delicious, mouth watering Gouda and Edam farmer’s cheese. You’ll get a private explanation and tour, showing you the interesting process cheese go through prior to selling in the supermarket.
Additionally, no cheese explanation is complete without a tasting! Sample the very delicious homemade cow, goat and sheep cheeses!
Midday we’ll travel to Volendam, a fishing village. Volendam is still well-known for its old fishing boats and the traditional clothing still worn by some residents. The women’s costume consists of high pointed bonnets and is often featured on tourist postcards from the area. You will have a short walking tour and plenty of free time to take pictures.
The next sop is the former island of Marken, famous for its beautiful wooden houses and interesting architecture. After a short walking tour through the village and have a lunch break.
Maybe you would like to eat some fried fish, or a typical Dutch pancake! For pancakes you should proceed to the next very picturesque small town bewfore we go to the Anne Frank House! They have delicious pancakes!

1) the Kinderdijk Windmills - a beautiful sight of 19 original windmills which are under UNESCO protection. Enter a windmill and see how it functions. continue your tour by cross the river Lek (a branch of the Rhine) on a local ferry boat on the way to the medieval quaint cities of Gouda world famous glass stained windows made by the brothers Crabeth - enjoy a short walking tour with your guide to the prettiest Market square of Holland with its beautiful town hall and weigh house - where they used to weigh the Gouda cheese in the 17th century.
Continue to Delft for a visit of the Royal Delft pottery factory, where you will have a nice tour. Now it's time for a lunch break at the city center of Delft. It is a town full of history. This is where William of Orange was assassinated - he is buried in the New Church, which is the mausoleum of the Royal family until today. Delft is the home town of Johannes Vermeer where he lived and worked all his life. During your tour you will hear a lot of history about the William of Orange, also called William the Silent and you will walk on the footsteps of Vermeer ! This is a very scenic tour as you will be passing through the picturesque Dutch country-side. A visit to the Royal Delft Blue Pottery factory is included.. Return to Rotterdam for a sight seeing tour of Rotterdam. Don't forget your camera because you will see some very memorable things.

a) Drive to the Kinderdijk Windmills - 19 original windmills which are under Unesco protection. Enter a windmill and see how it works. Then continue to the Hague, the Seat of the Government. Here you will have a short walk to see the Parliament Houses and to visit the museum of the Mauritshuis -The 17th century Dutch Masters such as Rembrandt (the Anatomy of DrTulp), Johannes Vermeer's (the Girl with the Pearl Earring) Frans Hals etc. If you like art, you can also visit "Panorama Mesdag" a world famous painting showing the beach of Scheveningen as it was in 1885. Then continue to see how the beach is like today! continue your tour by van to the International Court of Justice, the Queen's working Palace and if you are interested - visit the miniature city of Madurodam. Everything is built on a scale of 1.25 mr and everything moves! The cars and trains run - the boats and ships move and even the airplanes want to take off!

An excursion to Amsterdam with a visit to the Anne Frank House + canal cruise, on the way back we shall drive via a scenic road through the country-side passing by windmills and dikes. On the way we shall stop we shall visit the Delft Blue Pottery factory in Delft before returning to your ship
